This contest is fueled by the following news: Professor Richard Wiseman from the University of Hertfordshire, who did research in his time on luck, superstitions and various phenomena, intends to construct a "Haunted House" in a couple of years. He will study the influence of "ghosts" on the psychological condition of a person.
The entire set for the creation of the "Haunted House" is available in the arsenal of Wiseman: terrifying lighting, weird electromagnetic fields, infrasonic vibrations, temperature changes and so forth. By utilizing all these phenomena, the professor hopes to prove, that all talk about ghosts and their fear - reaction to a person changes according to the environment.
Wiseman is already looking for a suitable house. Probably, the "Haunted House" will be in one of the buildings in Edinburgh or London. The project, the realization of which will begin in the next two years is estimated to cost around $80 000.
A school for ghost hunters was opened in the United States. The school was organized by a group of American researchers from New Jersey, who study paranormal phenomena. Experienced instructors and outfits, made according to the latest technology, are at the disposal of future fighters against evil spirits. Ghost hunters are taught to locate and distinguish the ghosts and even talk to them.
Practical training is given at a cemetery. One more popular field for the training is an old theatrical building, in which, scientists consider, live several ghosts of former actors.
The recently organized service "Ghost Hunters" in New Jersey is already being used with huge popularity. No less than 100 calls are received every month from people who request the ghost hunters to clear their houses of evil spirits.
