Good technique, but some strange shadows - they seem uniformly cast behind the objects which gives an impression that the background is one flat surface. E.g. Even the penguin on top casts shadow onto the sky

i think the shadows, as well as the white outlining, gives a cool layered effet, sort of like the Impressionists used (now, Hidden, do you feel your head swelling. ) I like it.
