| This contest is fueled by the following news: |
| | Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is slated to undergo minor surgery on his shoulder on Wednesday. As a result, he will face what very well may be a politician's worst fear -- not being able to shake hands. While he is recovering from surgery, Kerry will not be able to shake hands with voters. The outpatient surgery will be performed at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital. His doctor said that he will not have to avoid shaking hands all together. Rather, Kerry will have to limit the amount of time he spends shaking hands at least for several weeks. Kerry injured the sub-scapularis tendon in his right shoulder when he tried to brace himself for a bus stop while on the campaign trail in Iowa in January of this year. |
