| Efforts are required around the world designed to reduce the damage to the environment caused by computer equipment. This is according to a report issued by a United Nations research group. A study from that group has found that the average personal computer requires ten times its weight in chemicals and fossil fuels to produce. Many of these chemicals are toxic. In addition, the use of fossil fuels contributes to global warming. Finally, the relatively short lifetime of computer equipment has resulted in mountains of waste material.
Green color in Psychology:
The green color is the color of nature for the vast majority of people. Therefore, it is perceived as neutral, quiet and a non-irritant. Designers, psychotherapists and founders of advertisements assert, that it “promotes life, growth, harmony, unites people with nature, helps to be more close to each other, gives self-esteem, solidity, naturalness, justice, develops will power and consistency”.
Green as a signal color is a safety sign, permitting actions and movements (traffic light, etc.)
