| The local business community in and around the Broadway Whaft took action to rid the area of anti-Semitic graffiti -- after the city failed to take action for over a year. A representative of the Jewish community advised the East Liverpool Business Association during its meeting Wednesday that swastikas were found along the front of the wharf on the Jewish holy day, Rosh Hashanah. The swastika was a symbol of Adolph Hitler's notorious Third Reich and of the Holocaust during World War Two which saw the deaths of millions of innocent people in Nazi death camps. The business association, through a member, indicated that the city had been advised of the swatstikas over a year earlier. |
