Goodbye Karl Rove
Contest Directions: The mastermind behind the Bush's election campaigns in 2000 and 2004, Presidential top advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove announced his resignation from the White House on Monday. The partnership between Rove and George W. Bush lasted more than three decades, and Bush often called him "President's brain". The resignation follows the series of recent scandals where Rove's name appeared: the trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby revealed that Rove was one of the White House officials who leaked the name of the CIA officer, Valerie Plame; Rove also refused to testify before Congress about firing of the US attorneys. The President joined Karl Rove in Monday announcement and said that they will always be close friends.
To say goodbye to Karl Rove, photoshop him any way you like. Examples may include: Postcards and letters sent to him by any Democrats and Republicans in regard to his resignation, showing the next job of Karl Rove, putting him on magazine covers, or immortalizing him in paintings.
Many thanks to Kiko for sponsoring this contest.

This contest is fueled by the following news: Karl Christian Rove is one of the most influential politicians within the inner circle of Bush Junior. Rove is an American politician, notable figure in the Administration of President George Bush Junior, "Political consultant" of Republican Party. Karl Christian Rove was born on 25 December 1950 in Denver, State Colorado. He grew up in nonreligious and apolitical family. Somehow, Carl showed interest in politics right from childhood and at the age of nine, Rove kept track of Presidential election campaign and supported Mr. Richard Nixon, candidate of Republican Party. In the Bush Administration, Rove was offered a position "Senior Advisor to the President". Even before the final confirmation of Bush's victory, Rove started plans for the next election campaign. In January 2001, Rove started an experiment under the name "72 hrs Task Force", dedicated for drafting decisive actions in the last three days of election campaign. Main emphasis towards run-up to 2004 elections was to make the Christian Protestants join Republican coalition. According to the estimations of Rove himself, in 2000, approximately 4 million Protestants did not support the Republican candidate due to reports in press, which stated that the police had arrested Bush in 1970s in an aberrated condition while driving a car. Rove worked out a new election strategy, which would have allowed in activating the conservative social base of Bush and also obtain support of Spanish speaking populace, Catholics and series of other groups. Use of "72 hrs Task Force" came handy just in time to attract various categories of electors towards the candidate. Rove also created unofficial network of consultants and representatives of legislative organs of the States, which helped to keep track of changes in the opinions of common public in regions. Weekly meetings of Rove with representatives of Ministries were organized for supervision and monitoring over policies of State Machinery. In 2003, Rove was found in the center of famous political scandal. In July, several American newspapers published articles, in which the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame was leaked. Suspicions were galore that, disclosure of identity of Valerie Plame (criminal act in USA) was a result of purposive information leakage from White House. Critics of Presidential Administration called the leakage as revenge of White House against Joseph C. Wilson IV, a retired ambassador of USA in various countries. In 2003, Joseph C. Wilson IV published an article, in which he criticized the Bush administration's citation of the yellowcake documents among the justifications for the War in Iraq and refuted the links of Iraq with Niger in the area of production of nuclear arms. Carl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Chief of Staff of Vice President Dick Cheney were accused for leaking the information. White House turned down an idea to carry out independent inquiry but the Administration Staff got an order to cooperate with investigation committee of Department of Justice. According to the Law, culprit, involved in the information leak, has to sit 10 yrs in jail as punishment and also a fine of 50 thousand dollars. Joseph C.Wilson IV publicly stated that he wished to see how Rove is "Frog marched" out of White House in handcuffs. On 30th September 2003, Bush promised that "Necessary measures" shall be taken to punish the culprit, if identified. On October 1, White House Press Secretary Mr. Scott McClellan asserted that Rove was not involved in divulging secret information. "Plame case" gained momentum later on in 2005. Bush publicly thanked Rove and called him "the architect" in his 2004 victory speech. Few days later, Rove revealed that he participated in president's campaign for the last time but after one week, he refuted the intentions of quitting the politics. According to the words of Rove, his earlier announcement was considered as "Real stupidity" in White House. Observers never ever believed that the 2004 presidential campaign of Rove would be his last campaign. In second presidential Administration, Rove got promotion. Now, he held three designations: Deputy Chief of Staff, Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to President. According to the opinion of observers, in second-term Bush Administration, Rove had become most influential person in all matters, concerning Home and economic politics. Rove engaged in working out the plans to strengthen the continuous Republican majority in the country. In particular, he worked over legislative agenda, appealing to inculcate the elements of Republican Ideological Platform in life. In free time, Carl Rove likes hunting quails, shows keen interest in political history of USA and loves to cook. Carl Rove has a son with his second wife.
