Hidden..... jurors can't see who does what entry. No need to take offense and allude to people not liking you. You did a nice job with the idea using your own sources. (though some sources in bottom section of image look a little different from the ones you included....I might just be blind though )

Kellie is a judge and has a remarkable eye for distinguishing originality and being a judge has the JOB of evaluating these things on originality. I reckon everybody here has not passed the originality test at one point or another so don't feel bad hahahahaha. I think it's a fine image and yeah, it triggered a similarity flag but couldn't recall seeing where or when. I had a novel idea some time back and I seem to repeat myself on this but guys/gals, just alter the source images past the point where the original artists or photographers will recognize their own work in your chop. The solution is that simple. That will put to sleep any objections or concerns of originality. Keep your chin up hidden, it's not the end of the world It's a very nice image and should score well. If it's any consolation, I did one that is brutally original and tanking like a sub with a screen door hahahah... just have fun.

Doesn't change my voting on this piece and it's very nicely done, the bottom part is totally new and a lot of work, after you have voted on 30 thousand pix's, you can see who puts in the work, this was a great chop and that's what we do, chop pictures. It's all part of the larger picture.

Also global warming is a hoax and if you don't believe me I'll sell you some carbon credits cheap. Follow the Money,even BO the precedent is heavily invested in carbon credits, like his staff was invested in the Chicago Olympics. Now they can't sell their slum properties to the Taxpayer.

Yes it is good & a lot of wk on the authors part, and the bottom part is new, though I agree with Macwithfries that some of the source images from lower part do not correspond the same with the finished image, so Mac I personally do not think u r going blind.

I could not stop commenting. I break a promise not to comment on this site, I break the silence. The work is well done, but it is very close to the original, which was not done on this site. When I presented all had something similar against. And the harsh criticism. Now just say something.

Congrats on the bronze Joe I didn't think there was any drama on your pic. But if you heve a defensive outlook towards critiques and votes Joe, the dramas will follow. Chop fair, do the best you can, enjoy doing it, listen to critiques and learn from them & don't obsess about scores and voting.....best recipe for having fun at FN.

Congrats joe, good job. On originality, artist's borrow and exchange ideas all the time, I see nothing wrong with it. The only source I see the same in both chops is the hourglass. Picasso and George Braque are 2 great examples of artists sharing ideas and styles. At a point in their careers, their paintings and experimentation in cubism were almost undistinguishable from each another.Cubism was a joint construction, to the extent that sometimes Picasso and Braque could not tell their work apart. But they were both great artists. Keep up the great works joe, follow your own path, and don't be afraid to borrow and share ideas.

Jeeeze, a lot of comments... Settle in to the fact that nobody said it was a bad chop and like I said, it would score high. Here's your cup It garnered a lot of 7s and that might be because it did need more originality, JT. I wonder what the same idea would have looked like it you pushed the idea a bit further out of the box and used something like a Doomsday Clock adaptation. I looked over your sources and I do see why people got confused. You apparently have multiple, similar sources as do most of us but posted some unmatching sources. It looks like that anyway. If you want to make a point, you got to keep that straight. You are a great chopper, don't let anyone tell you different especially yourself. But listen to the comments. I do, don't always agree, and just so you know, you have to be 50 years old or better to whine on FN. Because by then you are old enough to have earned an ego and senile enough where nobody will take offence. Best and last advice; just don't take any of it too seriously where it stops being fun.
