 It has been noted that there seems to be an unusual paradox when it comes to women in Western countries. They seem to want to show off their bodies while covering up their faces. In this day and age, gigantic sunglasses have become all the rage. Some people have even suggested that some huge sunglasses are as concealing as the infamous burka worn by women in some countries in the Arab world. Super huge glasses are not just being worn by models in 2006. Rather, real women on beaches and other venues everywhere can be seen sporting these enormous sunglasses. Even children have been seen donning these mammoth creations on their faces. Some fashion trend watchers contend that Lionel Richie's ultra-skinny daughter Nicole was the first celebrity to wear these huge, gigantic sunglasses. Paris Hilton apparently was not far behind. Some observers believe that people like Nicole Richie are going for these large sunglasses to try for an air of sophistication -- a sort of instant Jackie O look. In the end, these people have concluded that it might not work that well if you are an ex-heroin addict and perhaps appear rather like you are suffering from anorexia. |
