| A newspaper has printed a story that actor Gerard Depardieu is calling it quits as far as his film career is concerned. He allegedly told the paper that he is ending his career because he has made 170 films and has nothing left to prove in that regard. He indicated that he did not intend to hang on like some sort of idiot. Depardieu is one of France's best known actors, both at home and abroad. He has starred in such films as "Cyrano de Bergerac," "Green Card," and "Jean de Florette. Depardieu, who is 56, apparently made his comments on the set of the upcoming French flick "Michou d'Auber." |
