While President Bush and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder have been able to put their strident dispute over the war in Iraq behind them, they are facing a new problem ... the weakness of the U.S. dollar against the European euro. The two leaders did note that they are ready to put their differences behind them and work on issues, such as that regarding the dollar - euro standing. The two world leaders sat next to each other in the Oval Office. At this time, the German Chancellor said the weakness of the dollar was depressing German exports.
