It is true that most of the Iraqi deaths have resulted from Iraqis killing one another. But it was Bush’s destruction of the secular Iraqi state that unleashed the sectarian strife. Look's like mean old Bush's boot print is on north and south america. How many deaths have Moslems comitted over the centuries. Convert or Die Infidel

I thought Sharbat Gula was from afghanistan... Very nice boot print though

In my opinion the hate of the world towards the Americans is only a bit lower than the hate that the world professes to the Jews. That the world does that does not have major importance every time for 2000 years it has chased the Jews for causes so diverse as improbable, and now they hate us for the simple reason of defending the Jews instead of exterminating them. The sad of this entry and of the news that it illustrates is that there are Americans who make these slogans of the hate proper. I agree with Renesis, I also like much the mark of the boot.

Now that looks like a good Moslem wife, what was she 12 or 13 at the time. Her 15 minutes of fame got her 3 kids out of 4 tries and a mud hut. With her picture around the world, she's lucky the taliban didn't kill her. Some Freedoms are worth dying for. Lock and Load it's your right to defend yourself. with words

"The result was that we were seen more as Musharraf's friends than Pakistan's friends." He's got the guns

One problem with this caption, this girl is not from Iraq. she is from Afghanistan.

Sharbat Gula is not dead, she is the survivor archetype, hence "Some can only cry, until the next step..." The image is a metaphorical composite not a literal one. Afghani poppies are also part of the image. The main focus is the Iraqi genocide and the picture is design to provoke thought and get people to react...and it has done that rather well. If you compare Sharbat in the actual photo to mine, it's not the same person either and the current Sharbat is in her mid 30's. Here's more on this image: Mass Insanity and Middle East Genocide Look up surrealism. Pure psychic automatism, by which one proposes to express, either verbally, in writing, or by any other manner, the real functioning of thought. Dictation of thought in the absence of all control exercised by reason, outside of all aesthetic and moral preoccupation.

When I made my comment only there were the titled news ' The Iraqi Genocide ', the face of a girl, and a globe with the mark of a boot. Infuriated about the content of an article that makes good all the critiques of bin Laden to USA and Israel, forgetting the continued attacks on the citizens and soldiers of both nations, as well as the bimillennial conspiracy of all the countries against Israel searching for its extermination, I wrote my comment. The above mentioned article deliberately ignores that the essence of the terrorist war lays in attacking wrapped up by the civil population so that the response the enemy provokes many civil losses, which to emphasize before the means to recruit new combatants moved by desires of revenge, and that demonize and demoralize the enemy soldiers and to their peoples. Today it is necessary to admit that bin Laden is doing very well his hatred work, and that he has recruited for his cause to a large part of our compatriots. I admit that to see the image of the Afghan girl to illustrate a so-called 'genocide' of Iraq, an image theatricaly manipulated with the double target to inspire feelings of pity and to win a medal, it was the detonator of my response. The poppies of the fund, as well as other news that appeared throughout the evening was not but curtains of smoke to confuse those who did not see the original entry. In this sense I think that it is a sorrow this girl was photographed dressed, because of having been stark naked you also would have mentioned some news about the genocide of the conies in Australia, what would have raised to 200 million the numbers of the alleged genocide you accuse to USA and its troops. I support my critique in his integrity and I think your entry has nothing to do with surrealism, but with the bias, the manipulation and the opportunism.

Sharbat Gula is the Modern Poster Child for All Victims of War It is Surrealism I disagree completely. It has everything to do with surrealism both in design and message, because it provokes thought and reaction by eroding the shackles of the mind and uses images that are physically impossible. You have wrestled with your own thoughts plenty here, as a testament to my image. As for the image changing over time, I re-edit almost all my images multiple times based on feedback and reaction. It's part of the process of using critiques to develop art, cause I actually care how people think about them. Art is a dynamic and growing process. Destruction is failure Yes, the image is bias, cause I abhor destruction and serve creation...to do otherwise is to condemn myself to a greater hell. There is no honor in rationalizing murder in order to steal, and there's never a justification to cause more destruction on planet with finite resources. The laws of physics still apply: war is inefficient, and is a negative sum game in where it destroys more than it can gain. Nation of Fools So what has the US gained from such stupidity. $8000 per person of additional war debt added to record personal debt not witnessed since the Great Depression. We also have rising inflation, less services, credit and housing meltdown, rising violent crime rates, infrastructure rotting, burning, flooding and eroding away as the US teeters on economic collapse from the hands of an out of control corporate kleptocracy. Theoretically the iraq war is making more US citizens suffer, starve and die by the hands of its own government, than that kook Osama could of ever dreamed of. The Good Know Better I find it hard to believe any good person thinks they will be better off for supporting pre-emptive mass slaughters and thinks if they lie to themselves often or listen to more lies, it will change the outcome. We all know it was a big lie about the war paying for itself, every time we will fill up at the pump. We all know better not to kill others based on imagined fears and it's absolute nonesense to think leaders have crystal balls of truth. We all know better... Report: 'World at peak oil output' CNN International Becoming evil to presumably battle evil is playing into evil, so who's crazy enough to join in. There's no honor among thieves...violence is always a defeat.

So the girl is Afghani. She's the freaking POSTER CHILD for everything that's happening there, and throughout the islamic world, then AND now. They are being stomped on and it's not even that simple. We all are.
