| Gas prices sky rocked in the Houston area on Wednesday. In some locations, the cost of a gallon of gasoline topped $3, according to Local 2 news. A Randalls, in southwest Houston, located on West Belfort at Kirkwood, sold gas at $3.31 per gallon in the afternoon. Some customers advised that the price was a full 80 cents lower the day before. One customer remarked that he did not know if the price was a joke. He said he saw a sign at the station that listed the price at $2.75. But, by the time he reached the pump, the price was $3.31. He remarked that seemed a bit steep for a turnaround into the parking lot. |
