| Humor is the ability or quality in people, objects or situations to bring happiness and to cause laughter. It is possible to consider humor as one of the forms of human dialogue, after all, each person has a sense of humor (only the development level of the given feeling differs).
A smile is sign of the presence of a sense of humor.
The word has ancient Greek roots. In antique medicine, the human condition was described by the parity of four liquids — blood, lymph, yellow and black bile — which they named “Humor” (compare — “Humoral”). The parity and harmony of these liquids determined the health and self feeling of a person.
Humor types:
Various forms of humor exist, which correspond to various humanization levels. For example, crude jokes are popular amongst children and teenagers while satire is more popular among more adult and literate people.
Humor is often non-universal and is not transferred from one culture to another, usually depends on the details of a specific cultural setting. In a globalization epoch, differences between the cultures are becoming clearer and humor is becoming more universal.
