Apprentice Photoshop Pictures Contest - 8 image entries

Contest Directions:

This is the apprentice version of our weekly Freak Show contest... We're running this as an experiment to see how it goes. If members like it, we'll make it a regular contest in the apprentice section. So... get your little whips ready and get the apprentice circus started!
In this contest you can photoshop and exhibit anything you wish (standard site rules still apply). This is basically a weekly exhibition of your creative works with no "contest restrictions".
This is an Apprentice Contest. You are eligible to enter this contest if you have less than 5 golden trophies at Freaking News. You have 7 days to submit your entry. Submitting it early will give you plenty of time to read the critique comments and edit your image accordingly.

Meditation & Stretching

I drew the man & woman first. Then, I placed the background on it using the internet for free sources. I left the upper portion of the background black because I thought there was enough detail in the picture and that any more would distract from the main subjects.

Faerie in Grey Scale

I was inspired by a piece of clip art so I used the clip art as a reference to draw this faerie adding my own details, etc. Then, I added several different backgrounds with various transparencies. I also set the image up in greyscale which I have only used once before. It was pretty neat. I also used special effect brushes designed by Lileya.deviant.com. The brushes were 'firework' brushes but I thought they gave a special effect in greyscale. I placed 'Lileya.deviantart.com' on the painting, but I doubt anyone can rad it.
