The magazine estimated the net worth of the dictator to be in the neighborhood of $500 million. Castro claimed he was upset by the "infamy" of being so listed by Forbes. Castro, 78, has been in power in Cuba since the 1959 revolution in that country. He stated that he was considering suing the magazine. This marked Castro's second consecutive year of appearign on the magazine's wealthiest people in the world list. Last year Forbes estimated Castro's wealth at about $150 million.
