Really brilliant concept. I would add shadows to the figures and it will be a great execution too.

Thank you for the suggestion - is there a better way to do shadows than using the burn tool and guesswork.

I uploaded one with shadows but it hasn't shown up. I used the 'edit entry' link...

The shadows are present. You are likely viewing a cached image on your computer. For casting long shadows, you can create a duplicate image of, in this case, a person. Then apply a dark colour fill to this element. Drag the duplicate layer under the original. Then distort the duplicate image in the direction that you wish to cast the shadow. When you have the direction correct, lower the opacity of the layer. Depending on the type of shadow being cast, you may need to blend out the leading edge of the layer to retain the overall depth of you work.
