| Fathers who are independently bringing up the children really deserve attention and also respect. But is it enough to call them heroes only because they fulfill the duties of a father, even without a wife?
Of course, not every man is capable of remaining alone with a son or a daughter. A special mental attitude and character, patience and understanding and duty at a self-sacrifice level are required. Basically, even the man is in a condition to overcome material difficulties, if he cares for his son. And, how is he to perform the role of a mother? It has developed, that women are more adapted for loading themselves with household, material and the education sphere of life. Men can provide sons with all the necessities, but prefer to employ the babysitter, avoid trips to school and are not always competent in educational issues (especially, if a girl grows in the family). Besides, it is more difficult for them to overcome this existence without a woman and devote himself fully to the children.
Psychologists assert that, if the father is still living together with the mother, and he takes up the role of the caring father, educator and helper, then it will be difficult for him to overcome the loneliness factor. In other matters, he can manage perfectly.
On the assumption of this, it turns out that heroism is not in being a lonely father but in a father with such qualities. A family cannot depend only on a woman as it cannot only on a man. Nature created a balance of the two halves purposefully. Therefore, both single mothers and single fathers are an exclusive social phenomenon, an example of strength of mind and faithfulness.
Advantages or drawbacks of such families – children in these families mature faster than usual and turn into to support their parents and not the other way. Especially for sons, it disciplines them for the future and makes them learn to treat their children with responsibility and also towards their other half.
Good luck and firmness to all fathers, who have dared to take such an unusual path, which is atypical for their nature. And, let them not lose confidence that their already grownup children will take good care of them, with work and devotion like their fathers invested in them.
