| | Uma Thurman is paranoid about her looks and especially hates her "big" ears.
The actress, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful stars in Hollywood, admits she has always been very self-conscious about her features and height and has been very sensitive about her ears.
Despite learning to love her looks, Uma, who is around 6ft, says she has never grown to like her ears.
She told the US version of OK! magazine: "I feel more comfortable with myself these days, but I still think my ears are far too big. They really stick out. I would do anything to get rid of them.
"I've always felt too tall with big feet and bony knees. I still feel I have the big nose and these kind of far-apart eyes that look like I have two fish swimming between my ears."
Uma, 36, is convinced her worries about her appearance stem from puberty.
The 'Kill Bill' star - who recently split from her boyfriend, hotelier Andre Balazs - says she shot up in height when she was just 12 which, coupled with her unusual first name, made her unpopular.
With such big ears however Uma never had hearing loss problems, and was lucky not to get ear infections.
She added: "I was 5ft 8ins when I was 12. I had no image of myself as anything beyond a stick figure. I had this weird name and I was unpopular." |
