The fashion conscious raised their eyebrows when Vice President Dick Cheney arrived at a commemoration of the liberation of the Nazi death camps wearing a very utilitarian down parka and snow boots. He did replace the parka for a more traditional black coat when he commenced his actual tour of Auschwitz.
