Yessss, I guess this is pretty much what the contest asked for. Good thinking and job. But because the original pic has quite some noise in it, I think it would help a lot if you add a bit of noise (just a liiiiiiittle bit) to the beam and toilet paper, to blend in better with the rest. And maybe a liiiiiiittle bit of shadows and highlights on the joints to the wall of the beam. They don't really look attached to the wall atm, imo. PS I don't know why you hit the "Please don't critique my entry", but I decided to ignore that.
