| | Dwight Gooden, a former baseball star, was being sought by the police on a felony warrant. He allegedly drove away from an officer who stopped him on suspicion of drunk driving. Gooden, who is 41, left the scene of a traffic stop early Monday morning after refusing to get out of his BMW automobile to take a field sobriety test. The officer stopped Gooden's auto because he was weaving on the roadway near downtown Tampa. Gooden, a Tampa native and resident, actually has a history of drug abuse and is also awaiting a trial on a domestic violence charge. |
