Divers in Art
Contest Directions: An average American diver is getting older. The diving sport is recently becoming popular among older people, which increased the average diver age to 38 years, compared to 35 years in 2000.
In order to prove that diving has always been popular, photoshop divers in art by turning any characters in old paintings, drawings, or statues into divers. Add diving suits and diving equipment to them, or at least add a snorkel and a mask. Example: "The birth of Adam diver" from the Sistine chapel.

This contest is fueled by the following news: Ability to move objects is most important feature of fine art, and connected by its origin, defined by its history and precondition of its development. Fine arts either creates independent objects without any practical value (sculpture, painting, graphics and photography), or aesthetically organizes objects of practical purpose and information masses (decorative-applied arts and design). Fine arts actively influence figurative surroundings and virtual reality. Artistic means of fine arts in their different types are approaches to different aspects of visual perception (volume, plastic arts, chiaroscuro, and so on.) graphic tools- expressive tools related to the imagery nature of work (story-associative combination). Bulk of a certain type or works of graphic tools and specific character of their application is called graphic language. Fine arts are utmost historical and specific for ethnic cultural communities (religious taboo on figurativeness defined its nature in the culture of Judaism and Islam, and origin of landscape genre is caused by urbanization). Together with this, aesthetic quality of works does not at all dependent upon time and conditions of their origin but accessible to the perception by man who is enough developed aesthetically from other culture. Scuba diving training: There are many organizations, which offer training to scuba divers and also certificates ( after the examinations). In the majority of cases, the selection of the training organization is not an important condition for the successful completion of training. The diving industry on the Egyptian coast of the Red sea is in deep crisis, writes RIA "Novosti" with a reference to the Egypt newspaper "Al-Ahram". The unique national sea park "Ras Muhammad", put under UNESCO protection since 2005, is one of the ten best places for scuba diving, which traditionally provides 60% of the annual income of South Sinai. Around 145 diving centers can be found here with almost 60000 scuba diving instructors, mentors, rescuers and other qualified specialists. However, according to results from 4 years, around 50% of diving centers located here, could not extend their licenses and the personnel did not get qualification certification. Representatives of the Egyptian Diving Association fear that the reduction in the number of legal centers will lead to decrease in state income from this popular leisure type of sport and as a result, reduce its financing and development. According to the representative, the diving industry is in need of constant uninterrupted investments and constant development so as to match the growth of demand for this leisure sport and increasing enquiries of clients. According to the representatives of one of the associations, only four legal scuba diving places are left after inspection in Sharm-el-Sheikh, one of the most popular Egyptian resort cities whereas other such places have around 80 as in Hurghada. If proper development of this industry is not supported, then the diving business in Egypt will gradually stall, observes the representative. The serious problem encountered by the licensed diving centers is the competition with illegal companies, which also provide active services in scuba diving, hotels and tourist companies, which offer excursions to coral reefs in a package to tourists along with a hotel. Owing to competitiveness, illegal diving centers are reducing the prices on scuba diving by up to 10 - 20 USD per excursion. Quality and safety cannot be provided at such cheap rates. Tourists are saving on their health and life by buying a pig in a poke and the fraudulent diving centers are thriving on such tourists and thereby damaging the reputation of the entire industry, laments Mohsin Anwar, representative of the Chamber of Tourism of Egypt, Red sea Province. Annually 1.2 million tourists from various countries specially come to Egypt to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world. Numerous mishaps forced the authorities to increase the control over diving centers. In 2006, more than 60 foreign tourists drowned during scuba diving. Training systems: CMAS Certificate. Before searching for a diving club, it is necessary to identify the training system. The CMAS System, developed by the World Underwater Federation, which was founded by Jacques 'Cousteau, was one of the first training systems for amateur swimming with an aqua-lung. Later on, several accredited training centers have turned up, certificates of which actually certify the knowledge of a person about the behavior on the water surface and also underwater and also about safety. Only some centers are competent schools in the world. The agreement on the equivalence of certificates and courses was reached between these and other organizations. They comply to the standards set forth by the Recreational Scuba Training Council (RSTC). These programs have similar requirements in knowledge and skills. The actual difference lies only in teaching methodology. While selecting a center, remember one thing: if the training center is cheaper, then there are more chances of your certificate not being considered in any of the diving clubs of an exotic country. Somehow if the certificate is obtained, instead of swimming like a certified diver, you will be spending the entire vacation proving your qualifications if you are allowed to undertake scuba diving at all. According to such systems, the training course will cost somewhere around 200 USD and the course duration will be around two weeks.
