He believes that the Democracts must so reconnect if they are to regain Congressional seats or even the Presidency. He went on to note that partisan fighting in Washington must give way to policy proposals that really connect with voters -- including health care and education. He made these remarks during a speech at the annual meeting of the Associated Press. He also noted that the Democrats cannot simply be negative and attack the President all of the time. He concluded that the Democratic Party must stand for something.
