Nice one, but there are some masking issues: the background color for the bottom half of the window is mostly dark blue but black in some places and the top half is dark gray.

i'm not seeing this Paul, maybe you need to adjust your monitor. Anyone else see this. edit: I opened it back up and raised the brightness, and I could see what you meant when I raised the brightness by 25%. You probably need to adjust your monitor Paul if you could see that. I went ahead and burned it anyway though. I used to open my chops on my laptop as well before uploading them because it has a smaller and older display, but I stopped doing that awhile back. Thanks for the heads up.

Now that's OK, but the colors were different in your previous version and it was not because of my monitor settings (I have several monitors at home, CRT and LCD and also two laptops, one with a matte screen and another one with a gloss screen and I can check pictures on all of them if needed). Maybe you did not see this because of the lightening at your own place... Anyway, it's fixed now. Good edit.

no, I have a 1680X1050 64 bit backlit LCD display and 2047 MB graphics memory. My workspace is dimly lit. Not to toot my own horn but it is the best display I have ever seen. But I have had this problem before on this machine, that's why I used to test my chops on my laptop first. May need to tweak a few settings, thanks again Paul. then again, it might be my own eyes. I blew a retina years ago and it seems to be bothering me more lately. May be time for me to see the eye doctor.

I'm pretty sure that I know who you are now, hidden author, because I noticed a similar problem on one of your chop in the past... but I believe that you were not convinced by my remarks at that time because you didn't edit it then. You probably remember it now (it was a tribute to a recently deceased filmmaker and you then thought that your entry was darker in some areas than it really was).

yeah, no I didn't edit the John Hughes one because the source image was already blurry and I figured it was a lost cause, this one escaped me though. I meant to add stars to this one as well, if I had done that it would have fixed the problem.
