The lights are on and burning on the largest floating Christmas tree on the planet ... a gigantic metal structure as tall as a 27 story building. The tree is located on a lagoon in Rio de Janeiro. The mountain top statue of Christ the Redeemer looks down from behind the tree. The tree stands as a symbol of peace in one of the most violent cities in the world. The projects creator, Roberto Medina, wants to show the world what a great city Rio really is.
