| | Senator Ted Kennedy is the latest children's author. Together with his Portuguese Water Dog, Splash, Kennedy is the co-protagonist in the book entitled "My Senator and Me: A Dog's Eye View of Washington, D.C." The book will be released by Scholastic, Inc., in May. Kennedy describes himself as being very excited about the children's book. According to Scholastic, the book not only takes a reader through a day in the life of a senator, but also explains how a bill becomes law. Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat who has been in the Senate for over forty years, says he was inspired to write the book after working with a D.C. based reading program. Kennedy's net proceeds from the book will be donated to charity.

Term e-book (electronic book) describes the information of common book, presented in digital format. Such books are available in Internet, on CD-ROM etc.
In our century, libraries faced the problem in increasing number of publications, as we call in information boom. Appearance of electronic publication and Internet provided the possibility of not printing the information in the form of book, and making it accessible online through digital library, and also on CD-ROM or in the form of e-book.
From other side, though the books are made in electronic form, many of the books in such format are not available (in libraries or on Internet). And also, due to inconvenience of existing reading systems, many people prefer paper books, that’s why their production remains at same level. However, many people are trying to digitize the existing books for ensuring their un-hampering access for all and also for ensuring their storage on digital media.
There is life length for the process of publication. For example: printing on requirement, electronic journals etc.
