Contest Directions: 
This week is National Children's Book Week in the United States.
Celebrations of this holiday include meetings with children's authors and illustrators, writing competitions, and reading children's books to groups of children. If you have kids in your family, today is a great occasion to read them something before bed ;)
To celebrate National Children's Book Week, show what books could be written for children by celebrities and politicians. Think of all the (bad or good) wisdom some celebrities could "teach" kids, what "manuals" celebrities could make for children about "grown up life" or politics. You can either design your book cover from scratch or photoshop existing children's books. Here's a good example.

Mistake No. 1 – Grandiose plans
“My child will get into music (tennis, painting) and I shall see that he does not miss the chance”.
Parent’s opinion:
Many adults must have dreamt in their childhoods to take up ballet, play on piano, play tennis etc but could not fulfill the dreams due to some or the other reason. And now, the main objective of the parents is to provide the best education to their children. It is not important, if the children may not want this but after some time, the children will like the diligence of the adults.
Opinion of psychologists:
Unfortunately, children do not always agree with the efforts of the parents. And often, a brilliant future, imagined by the adults, shatters regarding a complete unwillingness of the child to take up, say, music. Till the child is small and obeys the adults, but then..., trying to break away from the parental love cage, the child starts to express protest through methods, known to him – taking to drugs or simply liking heavy rock during late hours in the night. Therefore, filling the day of the child with necessary and useful lessons, do not forget to give him some time for his personal works.
Mistake No. 2 – Too much kindness
“Kisses and other compliments are not too important for the child”
Parent’s opinion:
Fondle the younger little sister? What nonsense! Kiss the mother? Hug the father? Yes, no time for all this.
Safeguard children’s health
It is correct to safe guard the health right from childhood. But, how can a child protect his health? Undoubtedly, it is the duty of the parents, who should take up this task with the utmost responsibility. It is no coincidence that the method by the name “Pedagogic Health Improvement”, where methods of upbringing the children are linked with a system concept of health and training is actively developed in pedagogy. |
