May 20, 1946. Most Americans and fans in other countries know her by
the name Cher. She started her career in music over 40 years ago as a
part of the rock and pop duo band "Sonny & Cher". Since then she sold
over one hundred and eighty million copies of her 26 albums and over
seventy million copies of albums as part of the Sonny & Cher band.
Today, on her 6th birthday Cher still has the same charisma as the
young singer girl who became famous forty years ago. In fact her
her ever changing controversial stage outfits, her long hairstyle and
charismatic face became a classic notion of femininity in the 80s and 90s.
Cher may be 60 years old but she be forever young to many of her fans
who grew op listening to her music. Not only she was successful as a
singer, she also tried herself as an actress. Her Hollywood movie star
shined brightly in the 80s, and Cher received an Oscar for the leading
female role in the romantic comedy Moonstruck. Many remember her for
the impressive role in the movie "The Witches of Eastwick" where she starred with Jack
Nicolson, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer. She also received a
