Clever Idea.. but why 100,000 dollars. Thanks to a gift from Clinton... In September 1999, Clinton signed legislation to raise the president's annual compensation from $200,000--its level since 1969--to $400,000. It was a gift to future presidents that Clinton couldn't benefit from (unless Hillary gets elected). By the way, the president's salary has not been $100,000 dollars since the presidential term starting in 1964.

The only problem with this is that if Kerry gets elected, the amount on check doubles, and there's no "Stop Payment" option.

Possibly the images author suspects anything over 100,000.00 out of the American taxpayer's pocket may have gone NSF, I don't know its just a thought. heh

This entry just doesn't cut the mustard. The date should have been different. The dollar amount should have been different. Those are facts, not opinions. If you're gonna have a politically charged entry, at least stick to the facts.

I think what I was shooting for here was $400,000.00 per year paid quarterly over the year , As well as the November 2nd election date when voters will what I hope do is the right thing. I wasn't really thinking I guess being a Canadian I forgot that Americans , well Republicans demand solid facts. when presented with something as important as a hoax spoof image. Look, I did not attack you personally. All I did was make a comment about the amount. You see unfortunately there are many people ignorant of many things in American government.. salary is just one of them. There are some Americans that do not know the President's salary... much less some of those that are in another country and might not be completely familiar with American Politics. I made my comment.. in case you had made such an error.. and would want to correct it. As this is a blind entry, I did not know who you were to contact you privately by email. I was trying to be helpful. Believe me, I won't make that mistake again. Had you changed your entry.. or emailed me and explained.. I would have deleted my comments. Instead.. now you choose to make assumptions about me.. and any other Republican. Your comments are completely uncalled for and definitely do not belong in a contest comment. This is for critques of images not a platform for whatever your political bias... and that goes for either side. As to your comment about my vote, you're right about one thing. I will be voting.. but it won't balance anything out. It will make a statement.
