Veronica Lake was the It Girl of the 1940s. With her peek-a-boo blonde hair and truly sultry looks, she was quite a deal on the silver screen. She died penniless in the 1970s. Her ashes actually sat anonymously in a funeral home for a few years before they ended up being scattered off the Florida coast... or at least it was thought. Lake's remains actually may have resurfaced in an antique store in the Catskills. The shop pays homage to the actress with Peek-A-Boo cookies and a spoonful of the actress's purported ashes.
