The term “Bigboard”, literally “Big Board” was extensively used in the CIS countries. The reason behind this is that the company “Big Board” was very famous in the advertisement circuit in the 1990s in former USSR countries. The “Big Board” signature was mentioned on the bottom portion of the advertisement boards, due to which the advertisement boards acquired the name “big boards”.
Billboard news: As the saying seems to go, if you really, really want something ... you need to ask Oprah Winfrey - the woman who gave here entire talk show audience new cars. A billboard in Chicago reads "Send me back to prison! My final plea is to you Miss Winfrey." A christian songwriter and musician paid for the ad. The singer, David Joseph, indicated that he does not want a check from Oprah; rather, he wants to be on her show.
