Contest Directions: If you haven't heard already there will be a new chain of Hotels called "Nicky O", based on the designs, drawings and collages by none other than Nicky Hilton, the youngest of the Hilton sisters. She got a bunch of investors to invest a bunch of money into this hotel project based on a "bunch" of her masterpieces. To build a business around Nicky's drawings, is not like asking Michelangelo to paint the Sistine chapel, it's more like asking Britney Spears design a new logo for Nike, and if the project is a success, Nike will sell the whole twelve and a half pairs of sneakers a year. To be honest I am not surprised the younger Hilton sister is finding more and more talents in herself - the latest one being a drawing talent the size of the Empire State Building - it's just a law of nature that when a person becomes a celebrity they suddenly discover a whole set of their talents, drawing being just one of them. In this contest you are asked to create drawings, paintings, design sketches, collages, and logos created by celebrities and politicians. Don't just show us flawless works of art - show the real deal with sloppy drawing style and perhaps some notes on it from author celebs/polits. Any type of drawing technique is allowed. This is a twisted contest where you have to do a good job creating a bad art. If the concept is still not clear enough or you would like some quick ideas, just think of the magic word "MS PaintBrush".
P.S. Thank God Nicky is doing this project without the help of Paris, or the chain of hotels might well have been named "Nicky HO", instead of "Nicky O". And by golly I bet such HOtels would have been much more successful, given the Hilton sisters' background and "hands on" experience.

Last week Nicky Hilton held a preview party to show her designs and drawings for her very own Nicky O South Beach hotels chain. The hotel chain is to open in November. Nicky says Paris, her sister, will not be helping on the project and that she was designing everything on her own. She says that she is taking a hands on approach to developing the Nicky O hotel chain. (The letter O actually stands for Nicky's middle name which is Olivia.) She says that she is designing everything from staff uniforms, to the pens, to the linens, to the matchboxes and apparently everything else in between. Her South Beach (Florida) hotel is slated to open in November followed by one in Chicago. Nicky is the youngest of the two Hilton sisters. She also noted that her father - hotelier of Hilton Hotel business - is not involved in her project. Nicky Hilton was raised in the Waldorf Towers in New York City.
