| A Nigerian state governor who is fighting money laundering charges in the U.K. has another weighty matter bothering him. He wants people to know the truth about his recent tummy tuck procedure. Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, who is the governor of the oil producing state of Bayelsa in southern Nigeria, was arrested in London on September 15th -- on an airliner from Germany where he had gone for the tummy tuck surgery. Police ultimately found one million pounds sterling in cash at his London home and was charged with laundering 1.8 million pounds sterling. He does deny any wrongdoing whatsoever. The governor also wanted to keep the facts surrounding his surgery secret. However, the Nigerian media has reported that it is liposuction to reduce the size of his stomach. |
