| | Crowds of people queued up outside the doors of Gesine's Confectionary for its grand opening. "Miss Congeniality" star Sandra Bullock was working the front counter for the opening. The store is owned by Bullock's sister, Gesine Prado. The baked goods sold as fast as they could be made. Bullock wore a white apron and knelt next to two children and handed them brightly wrapped confections, macaroons made by her sister. By midmorning, the display cases were almost bare.
