Celebrities New Year s Resolutions
Contest Directions: Psychologists recommend that people try setting more realistic New Year's resolutions, if they want to make them last - e.g. instead of "quit smoking" try "smoke less", or instead of "get slim" try "lose some weight".
In this contest you are asked to photoshop New Year's resolutions (realistic or not) for celebrities (or politicians) of your choice.

This contest is fueled by the following news: At the end of the Great Depression, about 25% of adult Americans made New Year's resolutions. At the beginning of the 21st century, about 40% did. Popular goals: Some examples are resolutions to give to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become environmentally responsible. Over the past decades, the character of New Year's resolutions has changed, with many becoming more superficial and appearance-oriented than heretofore. At the end of the 19th century, a typical teenage girl's New Year's resolution was concentrated on doing good works: she resolved to be less self-centered, more helpful, a more industrious worker, and to improve her internal character. Diet, body image, health, and yearning for possessions were hardly ever mentioned. By the end of the 20th century, the typical teenage girl's resolution was centered on good looks, her appearance: she desired to improve her body, makeup, hairstyle, and clothing.
