According to these researchers, the girls see "Barbie torture" as a legimate game, legitimate play. According to Agnes Nairn, one of the researchers at the University of Bath, the types of mutiliation inflicted on Barbie varies greatly. The researchers observed everything from removing hair to decaption to microwaving. 100 children were questioned about their attitudes about different brands of toys. These researchers found that Barbie evoked the strongest reaction, with many youngsters expressing hatred and violence when presented with the doll.
