Two cats in Japan needed to relieve themselves. Instead of finding a litter box, they did so on a fax machine. The net result was a fire that extensively damaged their owner's home. In the western Japanese city of Kobe, investigators concluded that the January fire was caused by a spark that was generated by the fluids that cats got into the saturated fax machine. The fire ended up damaging the kitchen and the living room of the residence before it was extinguished. The home owner was treated for mild smoke inhalation but the pets are reported to be fine.
