This contest is fueled by the following news: A crazy cat has been terrorizinf the neighborhood of Sunset Circle. Lewis the cat has been uniquely sited as the problem feline. An animal control officer has advised that the cat looks rather like Felix the Cat. He has six toes on each foot, each toe having a very long claw. A neighbor, Janet Kettman, said that the claws are formidible weapons and that the cat will stare a person down -- leaving people not knowing what to do. Lewis the cat has attacked at least a half dozen people in the neighborhood. The feline fellow even attacked the Avon lady when she was getting out of her car. Some of those people who have been attacked have had to seek treatment at area hospitals. Animal Control Officer Rachel Solveira was forced to place a restraining order on the cat. This was the very first time that such an action was taken against a cat in Fairfield. Lewis the cat essentially is under house arrest. In addition, Solveira arrested the cat's owner, Ruth Cisero, charging her with failing to comply with the restraining order and reckless endangerment because of the cat's unruly and violent conduct.
