| The CBS television network had hopes that the release of a report of an independent probe on its reporting of President Bush's military service would lift the cloud that has hung over the news division of that network. In the end, it was not that simple. The report and the subsequent response by the network to the report has left many questions unanswered, including how does the president of CBS news not effectively lead his division. The independent probe did make note that the story about Bush was not motivated by political bias. |
