This contest is fueled by the following news:
Bunnies are very pleasing and sympathetic animals and therefore, the training and caring of rabbits gives you immense pleasure. Bunnies are very playful and also love association and attention. In comparison with cats, dogs and some other pets, the expenditure for bunny maintenance and veterinary service is significantly lower but the pleasure you get due to its association is no less. It would give immense pleasure to walk with your pet bunny on the streets at any time, on the nearest lawn or in a children's playground. There’s no necessity for a bunny to walk but it quickly learns to walk in a cat’s style and a walk with it gives you and your children great pleasure. During a vacation, the bunny's cage can be left at a friends place or with relatives and the bunny will not pose great discomfort to them. They are very light in weight and convenient during transportation and they feel comfortable during summers in a summer cottage. But bunnies, as other pets demand attention, training and care. Rabbits, as other pets, can break small things in the house. Therefore, while procuring a bunny, remember that you are bringing home an animal with a specific nature, individuality and habits instead of a soft fluffy toy. Rabbits - the general name for several kinds of mammals from the hare family. Rabbits differ from hares in that their cubs usually are born blind and naked and grow up in burrows. The World Association for scientific rabbit breeding (the headquarters are located in Paris) has been in existence since 1964, which unites many countries for the studying of rabbits and for spreading information about rabbit and rabbit breeding. Bunnies in folklore and mythology: * In Chinese literature, bunnies are satellites of the goddess Chang ` e on Moon. Also, bunnies (rabbits) are one of the 12 Zodiac sun signs in the Chinese calendar. Interestingly, rabbits are replaced by cats in the Vietnamese calendar since bunnies are not found in Vietnam; * According to Japanese mythology, bunnies live on the Moon, where Mochi, the popular rice snack is prepared. Bunnies in art: In 2005, members of the Vienna art group “Gelitin” made a pink plush bunny with a length of 60m and a height of 6 m on the slope of the hill Colleto-Fava. One of the most popular “cartoon” rabbits Bugs Bunny was created in 1940 in the film studio “Warner Bros”. More than 300 cartoon films were made with him since the inception of the bunny character. To date, it remains the most popular and well-known rabbit in films. Bugs Bunny is an animated rabbit, resourceful, fearless and impudent. It was created by Chuck Jones - director-animator from the animation studio Warner Brothers. At present, Bugs Bunny is the company’s emblem, especially in the field of animation production. According to its biography, he was “created” in 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. He is popular for its adventures, in which he easily wins over any type of enemy and also with a Brooklyn accent says the sentence “What’s up, Doc?” The Bugs Bunny voice was done by M. Blanc. Rabbit or hare? In the entire Bugs history, animators considered the rabbit and hare as synonyms. However, the rabbit is the general name for several sorts of mammals from the lagomorph's family. Rabbits, as a rule, are distinguished with their cubs being born blind and non-hairy and also by their longer ears. Probably, Bugs is a hare, since the word “hare” appears in the name of some cartoon films and on the other hand the word “hare” allows it to have a word-play (“hair”, “herr” and etc). The word “bunny” will not help with an answer to the given question as this word is used in reference to young lagomorphs; however, it is more often translated as “rabbit” in Russian literature.
