| It is official: Barcelona has become the first Spanish city to ban bullfighting. This decision comes after a huge campaign by activists condemning what they call a cruel practice. Animal rights groups actually had collected over 250,000 signatures on petitions from all over Europe to bring an end to bullfighting in Barcelona. The World Society for the Protection of Animals and other animal rights groups led the efforts. |
