| | The President of France, Jacques Chirac, has said that he is vowing to launch a new counter offensive against what he calls the cultural domination of the United States. To this end, he is enlisting the assistance of Germany, Great Britan and Spain. The French President is reacting to news from the U.S. that search engine giant Google intends to put 15 million books and other documents housed in five of the most prestigious libraries in the English speaking world online. The universal English library apparently rattled the French President and his government in Paris. He fears that the French language and French ideas may one day be relegated to a quaint regional peculiarity.
