| Brett Lorenzo Favre, (born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi) is an American football player and was the starting quarterback for the "Green Bay Packers" group in the National football league (NFL). Brett Favre was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft in 1991 by the “Atlanta Falcons”. After one season with the “Atlanta Falcons”, on the 10th February, 1992, Favre was interchanged to the “Green Bay Packers” after obtaining a choice in the first round of the following Draft. In the new group, he became the starting quarterback for the first time in the third game of the 1992 season.
Favre is a unique player in NFL history winning thrice (1995-97) the title of the most valuable player of the season according to “Associated Press”. Favre helped the “Packers” appear twice in successive Super Bowls, the first time they won over the “New England Patriots” in Super Bowl 31 and the second, losing to the “Denver Broncos” in Super Bowl 32. Favre spent 17 seasons in the NFL and started in each game of the group since his first start in 1992 for the “Packers”. He is the record holder for the most number of starts amongst quarterbacks (241, including 261play-offs) and for the most number of successful passes (5133). On the 30th of September, 2007, Favre broke the record of Dan Marino’s on touchdown passes in an entire career (Favre stands at 422 touchdown passes) and just behind Dan Marino for the most number of pass attempts (8393) and pass yards in an entire career (Favre – 58705 and 61631 for Dan Marino). With the 151st victory in his career, Favre is the most winning quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Brett Favre is married to Deanna Tynes. He married her on July14, 1996. The couple has two daughters — Brittany (born on February 6, 1989) and Breleigh (born on July 13, 1999).
