Blending City Art

Contest Directions:  [ Traffic-signal boxes in Stamford, Conn are getting a facelift from the local urban artists, who are tired of seeing them as plain boxes. And it's not graffitti as you may think, it's a realistic art which blends traffic-signal boxes with surroundings. About 50 of the city’s 190 boxes, once covered with graffiti, are now suitable for framing, and many echo the surroundings. ]
In this contest you are asked to give artistic paint jobs to city structures (we will allow buildings, statues, monuments, bridges & arches) which will blend the structures with their surroundings. Please refer to this paintjob of this traffic-signal box for a good example. Make sure your paintjobs are artistic paintjobs, rather than just pasted photos.

This contest is fueled by the following news:
It began a mere four years ago as a grass roots experiment of sorts: Trying to beautify the ugly boxes that control the traffic signals around the city of Stamford, Connecticut, in the United States. In the end, it has become an impressive display of public art. Approximately 50 of the 190 boxes in the city are now adorned in such a manner that they are suitable for framing. Renee Kahn, a local preservationist and a fan of the art, stated that the works began to appear literally overnight. Over time, the artists participating in the effort have become bolder and the end result has been very vivid and lively, truly wonderful, public art. A great effort is being made to blend the art into its surroundings ... to the extent that it matches what already exists in the neighborhood. There is even a selection of so-called Pop Art that is located on Broad Street. This collection includes a depiction of a crayon box emblazoned with "Crazola" -- that holds a collection of extra large crayons. There is fine print on the carton that recognizes a nearby Chinese restaurant ... it says: "No MSG."
