| How much would you pay for a bottle of beer that stays cold nearly an hour longer? Pittsburgh Brewing Co., maker of Iron City Beer, is asking an additional $1 per case. The brewery has partnered with Alcoa Inc., the world's largest aluminum maker, to produce
aluminum bottles that keep beer colder for as much as 50 minutes longer than a glass bottle, Alcoa officials said.
Any beer can be attributed to lager or ale. Lager is a more popular beverage than ale and constitutes about 90% of beer consumption. Lager is a softer, dryer and weaker beverage. The difference between lager and ale is caused by the yeasts used during fermentation and the fermentation temperature. Yeasts of top fermentation Saccharomyces cerevisiae are used during the production of ales; and bottom fermentation - Saccaromyces carlsbergensis – for lagers. Ales are brewed quickly and at relatively high temperatures and lager is brewed more slowly and at low temperatures.

Altbier is traditional type of beer, manufactured predominantly in Düsseldorf. The German word “alt” means old. This beer is made from top fermentation, dark in color, copper color and is made from dark malt.
American ale:
American ale is an American type of traditional ale, made by adding hops from North America.
American Malt Liquor
American malt liquor is an alternative name, given to beer in the USA. The alcohol content in American malt liquor is high when compared to lagers.
Barley Wine:
Barley wine is a type of top fermentation beer with probably a high alcohol content like wine. Barley wine is copper in color or dark-brown in color with a stable taste or a fruit taste and sometimes it is brewed by wine or champagne yeasts.
