Doctor Berman also stated that neither haircut nor shaving does makes them dark or coarse. Hair structure is uniform and the roots of the hair lie deep under the skin and it is not possible to damage them while shaving. Hair just above the root are darker and thicker than at the end and therefore, short hair appears darker and coarse. By the way, in contrast to shaving, the hair structure changes due to the impact of high temperatures, alkalis (liquid ammonia, soda ash, household soap etc). These factors also have an impact on reducing elasticity and strength. Therefore, protect your beard.
