Bearded Women
Contest Directions: The normal amount of body hair for women varies. Most of the time, a woman only has fine hair, or peach fuzz, above the lips and on the chin, chest, abdomen, or back. Coarse, dark hairs in these areas, is the condition called hirsutism, normally caused by increased levels of male hormones. Latest studies at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) showed that the following factors can stagnate the levels of female hormones and increase the levels of male hormones for women: lack of sleep, excessive smoking and alcohol consumption. I may be wrong but does the above research imply that all the the chicks who like to party should eventually have beards on their faces?

This contest is fueled by the following news: How do you stimulate hair growth on the face? It is necessary to frequently grow a thick magnificent beard. Or, on the contrary, slow the beard's growth. On this issue, hair stylists have personal views. Let us see, what doctors have to say. The tickness of a beard depends on genes and hormones. Significant changes of hormonal cycles can bring the effect. Such hormonal defects can be treated through medicine. Androgens (testosterone, dihydrotestosterone) appear to be important regulators of human hair growth. Androgens are essential for the growth of the beard, armpit and pubic hairs. Growth of hair on the head is not dependent on androgens, but androgens have an impact on the development of male and female type of baldness. Everything is simple in a growing generation. As a rule, an increase in hair growth is observed in adolescence. But the time and nature of changes depend on hormones. An opinion exists that beard grows quickly if shaven frequently. This theory that shaving stimulates hair darkening or quickens its growth was discarded in 1960. In an article "what happens if we shave", which appeared in the Science Digest magazine in the October issue of 1963, doctor Berman stated that shaving does not effect the long term growth rate of facial hair. Doctor Berman agreed, that there is an acceleration in hair growth immediately following the shave. But growth slows down after few hours. So, the total effect of shaving becomes zero. Doctor Berman also stated that neither haircut nor shaving does makes them dark or coarse. Hair structure is uniform and the roots of the hair lie deep under the skin and it is not possible to damage them while shaving. Hair just above the root are darker and thicker than at the end and therefore, short hair appears darker and coarse. By the way, in contrast to shaving, the hair structure changes due to the impact of high temperatures, alkalis (liquid ammonia, soda ash, household soap etc). These factors also have an impact on reducing elasticity and strength. Therefore, protect your beard. To sport a beard or be clean-shaven is an issue, which the sterner sex face from time to time. Every 150 years, this question arises with new strength. Men are fed up with shaving and the beard becomes fashionable and vice versa. One thing is clear, the beard has always existed. It is a "bunch of hair", which appears in males and other mammals during the transition period from boyhood to manhood on the lower part of the jaw and above the upper lip as is illustrated in one 1885 dictionary. Of course, nothing can be changed in this regard. In all times, beard and moustaches are considered as an outer sign of masculinity and power. At least, the views are real in this regard amongst men and women.
