Miracle didn't happen, and GM had to file for bankruptcy today, as expected, after its restructuring plan failed to get it out of the huge debt. This marks the end of an era - once a dominant automaker is brought to its knees. The previously injected $20 billion piece of the bailout pie did not save GM. Now, under the bankruptcy plan, the government will inject additional $30 billion into GM, in return for the controlling stake in the company. Essentially we can call them Government Motors (credit to Drudge), as in addition to 51% of the US government share in the bankrupt GM, 12.5 more percent will go to Canadian and Ontario governments in return for another $9.5 billion injection.
Make your prediction on who (company, person, country, etc.) is the next one to go bankrupt, and photoshop its bankruptcy as a magazine cover, or newspaper front page. Any magazine or newspaper will do. Feel free to bankrupt anything or anyone - from Mona Lisa to your local church mouse.
