| Autumn is one of the four seasons and comes between summer and winter. Autumn is made up of three months: in northern hemisphere — September, October and November, in southern — March, April and May. Unlike the calendar, the astronomical autumn onsets later — during the autumn equinox on September 22 or 23 (in the northern hemisphere) or on March 20 or 21st (in the southern hemisphere) and continues up to the winter solstice (December 21st or 22nd in the northern hemisphere, on June 20th or 21st in the southern hemisphere). In meteorology and in everyday use it is generally accepted to call September, October, and November as autumn in the Northern hemisphere and March, April and May in the Southern hemisphere. |
