Inspired by a found object this piece demonstrates the destructiveness of jealousy in a marriage. The violent separation of a comfortable household item reflects the resulting relationship, still a working whole, but supported by the dependency of the female, represented by the flimsy and gaudily-colored milk crate.

A warehouse fire in London has destroyed more than 100 modern art classics that were part of the so-called Britart Movement. Local media reported the fire on Wednesday. The destroyed artworks include some owned by U.K. modern art collector Charles Saatchi. A spokesperson for Saatchi has said that the losses experienced by Saatchi could amount to millions of pounds. The destroyed pieces included works by Gary Hume, Patrick Caufield, Craigie Horsfield, Martin Maloneywere, Sarah Lucas and Damien Hirst.
